FSAA launches inaugural benchmarking survey
We enter 2022 with an air of optimism and hope for a strong return to a positive and successful period for all the foodservice market. No doubt there have been numerous challenges which will continue until some sort of “normality” (whatever that looks like) returns for the entire supply chain.
We launched our inaugural benchmarking survey in November and look to have it published in March. This industry-first initiative will provide information that the industry has been wanting for many years. The quality of the outcome will depend on the participation levels from industry. It is completely confidential and only takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Our wonderful professional development programs return in 2022 – the mentoring program, business management scholarship and emerging leaders think tank provide fantastic career development opportunities for our members.
We are still hearing of some difficulties in regard to supply chain matters such as imported materials/products, pallet shortages and resultant difficulties for deliveries and sales forecasting.
Be sure to register for our webinars this year – they have proven to be extremely popular with strong participation. We look to deliver industry specific topics that are of interest to you our members.
Our communication support will again be prominent this year with our quarterly “E” newsletter Snippets and the publication that provides feedback from the industry for the industry (What’s the Buzz?). These are supported by our regular posts on Facebook and linkedIn. Please feel free to contribute to any of these vehicles.
On March 8th we will be running our Foodservice Today & Tomorrow conference and National Awards of Excellence which were postponed from 2021. They are our two premier events and we know they will be successful once again – we hope to see you there!
Our Board for 2022 was elected at our AGM in December and we thank them for their commitment:
