ATIC celebrates a decade of service in support of culinary excellence

As the Australian Institute of Technicalchefs (AITC) marks its 10th anniversary, it’s not just a celebration of the past decade’s achievements but a reimagining for the future.

With its commitment to professionalism, inclusivity and technological innovation, AITC has emerged as a driving force in supporting Australia’s culinary landscape and chefs across the nation through the commitment of its volunteer committee.

The recent launch event for its new online platform technicalchef.com symbolised a bold step in AITC’s looking forward and advancing the standards and opportunities for its chef members across the nation.

The event was hosted by general manager of communications Sarah Maric and president Don Sherman. Their warm welcome set the tone for an evening of celebration and inspiration as they shared insights into the journey that brought AITC to this milestone moment.

The unveiling of the new website was held at Taxi Kitchen in Melbourne’s Federation Square, with chef and owner Tony Twitchett sharing his culinary journey and business insights, before web developer Roslyn Foo unveiled the stunning new web platform.

Industry veteran Paul Kristoff gave valuable insights into the power of media in shaping the narrative of the culinary industry, emphasising the significance of understanding one’s message and audience. He highlighted the value of chefs to the Melbourne Food landscape and how important it is to wield media as a tool for advocacy and influence, not just profit.

In addition to culinary luminaries, the event was attended by TCHEF sponsors and representatives, all underscoring the collaborative spirit that drives the institute’s mission.

As AITC (TCHEF) embarks on its next chapter, the reimagined platform stands as a directional shift towards the up and coming generation of new leaders with a commitment to supporting professionalism and excellence in hospitality.

With a renewed focus on professional standards, professional practise, inclusivity and technological advancement, AITC is poised to lead Australia’s industry into a future defined by excellence and opportunity for career advancement.
