The Australian Culinary Federation proudly announces the participation of two exceptional teams, a youth team and a senior team, in the upcoming IKA/Culinary Olympics, to be held at the Messe Stutgart Exhibition Centre in Germany from February 2nd to 7th 2024. Notably, Australia's youth squad, currently ranked 7th in the world, is poised to demonstrate their culinary skills and teamwork.

The IKA/Culinary Olympics, renowned as the world's largest and oldest culinary art exhibition, is set to welcome approximately 1800 participants from 67 nations. With an expected attendance of around 100,000 visitors from across the globe, this event promises to be an unforgettable culinary showcase.

Throughout the competition, an impressive 8,000 menus will be expertly crafted by chefs and culinary teams from around the world, fostering an atmosphere of creativity and collaboration.

Karen Doyle, President of the Australian Culinary Federation, expressed her pride in the dedication and commitment shown by the teams, stating,

"I am immensely proud of the dedication and commitment displayed by our youth and senior teams. Their passion for the profession is truly inspiring, and it's an honour to witness them represent Australia on the global stage."

The Culinary Olympics boasts a rich tradition spanning almost 125 years and holds a special place in the global culinary community. In 2024, the event returns to Stutgart, offering visitors a unique opportunity to witness culinary magic up close. The 'IKA TV' live stream will ensure that fans worldwide can follow the competition’s excitement from the comfort of their homes.

Australia is fully prepared and ready to patriciate in this year's event, and the national teams are steadfast in their pursuit of excellence. The Australian teams will compete in the Restaurant of Nations category, where they will present three-course menus for 50 guests (youth) and 100 (senior). Additionally, the Chef's Table category will feature teams serving a variety of dishes right in front of the competition kitchens.

The Australian teams have dedicated the past four years to preparing for this moment and would like to express their appreciation to all those who have supported and followed their journey to compete at this year's IKA/Culinary Olympics 2024.
