Golden chefs top talent gearing up for grand finals
/The Nestlé GOLDEN CHEF'S HAT AWARD is gearing up for the 2022 Grand Finals, having sourced the top 12 line-up of young chef talent from across Australia and New Zealand.
The live action of the chef-to-chef grand finals will be going down on the 5th & 6th of September, with the big reveals to follow on 7th September at an exclusive industry Awards Night event.
Each of the top 12 finalists will compete in custom-designed commercial kitchens, with Australian Culinary Federation and NZChefs expert judges onsite to assess professional practices, presentation and the all-important taste factor.
Newly appointed Commercial Development Chef and Nestlé Professional judge, Elke Travers says, “We’re thrilled to be back to in person chef-to-chef cook-offs this year and can’t wait to watch the action unfold. These 12 chefs, sourced from across Australia and New Zealand, will have a unique opportunity to showcase their skills and will no doubt elevate the 57-year legacy of Golden Chef’s Hat.”
The 2022 Golden Chef of the Year will be awarded an AUD$10,000 cash prize to further their culinary career.
In addition to the ultimate Golden Chef of the Year $10K cash prize, two new $2.5K culinary tuition cash prizes for Best Savoury Dish and Best Dessert Dish have been created.
